Make Up Policies

OUR MAKE-UP POLICIES

** Please do not come to class if you or your child might be infectious! -- stay home, get better, and sign up for a makeup instead!  (If your child is no longer infectious, but has lingering symptoms like a cough or runny nose, please let the teacher know, so we can reassure your classmates.)

** You must sign-up for a makeup class using our scheduler.  Walk-ins may be turned away if the class is full.

** Each family is permitted four makeups for missed classes during the Spring session  on a space-permitting basis.

** Please schedule your make-up as soon as you know that you need it.  If too many families waits till the end of the semester, there may not be enough spaces to accommodate everyone, so please use them promptly.

**Make-ups must ordinarily be taken during the current (Spring) session.  It is your responsibility to schedule makeup classes if you miss your regular class.

** Based on our prior experience, we expect there will be enough makeup slots to meet your needs. However, makeups are NOT GUARANTEED. Please sign up for your makeup class as soon as you know you need it.

** If you know ahead of time that you will be absent, please tell your teacher or e-mail us, so that we may make your regular spot available for a make-up. This is especially important towards the end of the semester.

**  Weekend makeups are very popular, so a voluntary limit of two Weekend makeups is appreciated.

**  If you need to cancel your makeup, you can do so here.  Due to limited space, it is our policy that it may not be possible to do a make-up for a missed make-up. If you know in advance that you will not be able to attend a makeup that you have previously signed up for, you may go on-line and cancel your make-up so that someone else can use the slot.

** If you have two children (siblings) who regularly attend classes, you must sign up for each child. If there is only one make-up spot available, you are welcome to bring your second child to the class anyway.

** Please note, the class on Tuesday at 12:45 at 90th Street is for infants younger than 8 months only.   The class on Wednesday at 3:30 at 90th Street is for children age 5 years and up only.

** Please call  718-499-2866  or e-mail us if you have any questions or need help, or have a special circumstance. We try to be flexible and accommodating about makeups where possible.   Please be patient as we may not be able to respond immediately.  The best time to reach us is Monday - Friday 9:00 - 2:30.  Please leave a message if you get our voicemail.
